Call for Articles and Books for Review
The Georgia Association of Historians represents all historians operating in the State of Georgia and surrounding states, and the Journal of the Georgia Association of Historians (JGAH) continues that representation by offering a peer-reviewed publication venue to all historians in Georgia or the surrounding states and to all participants at the association’s annual meeting.
The editor will accept article submissions in all fields of history and historical pedagogy, and all presenters at the organization’s annual conference are encouraged to submit papers for review. Submissions will be reviewed by at least two anonymous referees prior to an editorial decision.
Potential articles submitted should be prepared in a recent version of Microsoft Word. They should be double-spaced and conform in style to the latest edition of either Turabian’s Manual for Writers or the Chicago Manual of Style.
The journal is published annually and distributed in February of each year. Late spring or early summer submissions are preferred, but papers submitted by the end of September may also be eligible for publication in the next issue.
Articles may be submitted electronically to the editor, James Hill Welborn III, at [email protected].
The journal also publishes book reviews of recently-released works authored or edited by GAH members. Review copies may be submitted to the book review editor: Ashton Ellett, Richard B. Russell Library, University of Georgia Libraries, 300 South Hull St., Athens, GA 30602.
